S.C.O.U.R.G.E. is a rogue-like game in the fine tradition of NetHack and Moria It sports a graphical front-end, similar to glHack or the Falcon's eye. I tried to design the 3D UI as a best of both worlds from old to new: It lets you rotate the view, zoom in/out, view special effects, etc. On the other hand I've always liked the old-school isometric games like Exult or Woodward.
I also dig openGL, 3D modeling, bitmap textures, warhammer, paranoia, magic, and AD&D, chess, and other Role Playing Games! Modding SCOURGE and Neverwinter Nights keeps me awake at night!

Thanks to everyone who helped out on this release! I just finished uploading the src, data, windows and mac packages to sourceforge. Later today, I will update freshmeat and happypenguin also.

A release branch (branches/rel-0.20) has been created in case we need to patch something. Normal development can proceed in /trunk as usual.

Thanks again, it really is the community that makes working on the game so much fun! :-)

Expired in dungeon level 4 at Barmondel while attempting to kill a Greater Skeleton Warrior. Cause of demise: Laid low by the Burning stare spell. Reached chapter 1 of the story.

Walls in dungeons areas now become transparent in front of the camera!
